This video is the culmination of 3.5 months of solo travel throughout Europe starting on the 3rd of June and finishing on the 21st of September in 2014. Being an Australian with very little international travel experience beforehand I knew that I was throwing myself in the deep end by travelling to the other side of the world for such a long period of time. That being said, now that I've done it, I'm so glad that I did and would definitely do it again in a heartbeat.
I shot all of this footage myself, which involved lugging my DSLR and tripod anywhere and everywhere that I went. The aim was to shoot one short video everyday which I must admit I didn't end up doing, but since there were some days where I shot multiple videos and others when I shot none at all, it kind of evened out in the end. This video was inspired by STA Travel Australia's amazing video, Move (link below), which I watched for the first time just a few weeks before I went on my trip. I have watched 'Move' many, many times and eventually decided that I wanted to try and both document my travels in the same manner. I want to stress that my video is in no way a unique idea as I wanted to try and replicate the editing process and videos shot in Move, so make sure that you check out their video!
